To be read within the Pictographical Elements line of work, the “Picto-Scenographic Element” (2019), develops from the idea of a pictorial/archaeological/architectural element with scenographic characteristics, site-specif regarding the “inner courtyard” of ACERT (a cultural venue in Tondela, Portugal). It was conceived in order to integrate the architecture of the space and its function.

This work is thought of as a scenic element on the outside of the auditorium that grows into the surrounding space as an extension of that initial stage, developing sequences of light projected into the courtyard and walls of the building complex (as if a performance were in progress), captivating the visitor to explore or even take part in a possible imaginary play.
